12 students from the Artists-in-Training program visited schools in Kentucky and Tennessee in Early August. Students toured campuses, participated in master classes, met with faculty and students, and learned about degree programs and application procedures from admissions counselors at Murray State University (Murray, KY) , Belmont University (Nashville, TN), Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN), and University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY). Preparing students for collegiate level study has been a priority of the Artists-in-Training program since it’s inception. In the last 10 years, 100% of AIT graduates have attended college – many of whom are the first in their families.
